Boeing Logo – Boeing is an aerospace and defense company, is the largest manufacturer of aircraft and aerospace equipment in the world. His full name is The Boeing Company and headquartered in the city of Chicago . The largest factories are located around the city of Seattle in Washington state , along the shores of the Pacific Ocean , as the factory in Everett .
The company, initially called “B & W” was founded by William Edward Boeing and George Conrad Westervelt in 1916 . The following year it acquired the name of “Boeing Airplane Company.” William E. Boeing had studied at the University of Yale and worked initially in the timber industry, where he became a wealthy man, and where he acquired knowledge about wooden structures which later would be useful for the construction of aircraft. The company was founded in an old barn made of wood which was called the “red barn” ( Red Barn ).
Orders fell by 58 aircraft in April 2008 to 17 in April 2009 due to the economic crisis and lack of credit. In June 2009, Boeing announced a delay in their flight 787 Dreamliner due to the need reinforce an area in the section that joins the fuselage with the wings of the plane . The Dreamliner, which uses composite materials to reduce weight and consumption in flight, need a permanent solution. According to WSJ.com , it reveals the flaws in the design of the aircraft and “communication lines U.S. manufacturer of aircraft, both internally and with partners, investors and the public.”
