Liverpool Logo – The Liverpool Football Club is a football club located in the city of Liverpool, England. It is one of the best clubs in the world, having won, among others, 18 English league titles and 5 in Europe, UEFA Champions League. It is the English team with the highest number of titles of European Champion with 5 trophies won against 3 of Manchester United, and was also for a long time (since the season 1970/71) the club with the highest number of league titles obtained in England with 18, until it was finally passed by the same Manchester United, which won its 19th league title in season 2010/11.
The club was founded on March 15 of 1892 by John Houlding, the owner of Anfield. Houlding decided to form his own team after Everton FC were evicted from Anfield by problems with the rent. The original name, Everton FC, Everton Athletic changed after The Football Association rejected recognize the team as Everton, Liverpool was called shortly after FC.
In the season 1893 and 1894 won the Football League Second Division where they were undefeated, to ascend to the First Division. In 1896, Tom Watson was hired to hacerser responsible for the club and under his leadership the Liverpool, under the name Everton Athletic was gaining prestige. They started well because for the first time won the First Division in 1901 and again in 1906 to have the best defense at the time and had English as Captain Ephraim Longworth. In 1910 the club name changed to Liverpool FC Everton Athletic.
In 1915 he resigned Tom Watson. Liverpool won two consecutive league championships in 1922 and 1923, by the mid-40′s and 50′s the club returned to winning ways. In 1947 he returned to campeonar, when the club win for the fifth time. After losing 1-0 against Burnley FC in 1950 Liverpool FC lost their first final of the FA Cup, this time against Arsenal FC, 2-0, in that game there was a huge demand for tickets to go see the Wembley game. The club was relegated to the second division in the year 1954.
