GoDaddy has issued several press releases announcing its support for the bill SOPA, “Stop Online Piracy Act.” This support has led to the creation of groups calling for a boycott GoDaddy, including via the website godaddyboycott.org, supported by groups on Reddit and other sites. Jimmy Wales, cofounder of Wikipedia, announced it on twitter and facebook leave GoDaddy. Friday 23 December, more than 23,000 domain names have left GoDaddy.
