Wiesmann Logo Meaning and History

During its journey of 30 years, Wiesmann has one of the most iconic visual identity. Since its launch in 1988, the company didn’t make any hard changes in its symbol. It has only given some fine refinements to its logo throughout its journey.

This logo has two elements – emblem and two text elements that comprise of the brand name and tagline. The emblem is placed at the left with the text elements placed at the right of it to give it a flat but striking look.

The Wiesmann logo uses a customized typeface to make the logo look unique and elegant. It has an italic typeface with sharp corners. The spacing between the letters is quite narrow to give it a futuristic look. The tagline which is placed right below the brand name has medium spacing between the letters with all capitalized letters.

Based out of San Francisco, California, Uber shook up the transportation industry by connecting drivers to customers via a smartphone app.  The service is now used in over 200 cities world wide and has invited many copy-cats to the scene.

Originally, Uber only offered luxury black cars as they were targeting a specific clientele at some of the most upscale cities across the globe.  They now offer three different tiers of service but have retained their original black car service.  For example, if one were required to show up at a pristine business meeting, it might look odd or even bad taste to arrive in a yellow taxi, but showing up in a classy black car with a private driver speaks an entirely different message.  It was a market that had been completely untapped up until Uber arrived on the scene.

The Uber logo itself is quite fascinating work really.  In the simplest way, it is just a “U” featured on a geometric square.  However, the message delivered by the design communicates a route as if it were drawn on a map with a beginning and ending destination.  The white bordered box also makes the logo feel as if it were being displayed on a smartphone screen.  Overall a really fantastic logo.

Triumph Motorcycles Logo – Triumph Motorcycles is a brand of a motorcycle manufacturer in the United Kingdom. Direct descendant of Triumph Engineering Co Ltd, established in 1902. When it entered into recession in 1983, John Bloor bought the rights and image of the brand, and re-founded the company as Bonneville Coventry Ltd but eventually the name Triumph Motorcycles Ltd.

Due to the rise and success of Japanese motorcycle sales and number of problems to keep factories open that caused many strikes and even the British government intervention in the form of financial assistance throughout the 70’s, the company Triumph Engineering Co Ltd decided take the closure in 1983. SsangYong Logo – SsangYong Motor Company is an automobile manufacturer in South Korea. The company was founded in 1954 by absorbing the company Hadongwahn Motor. It was the largest producer of vehicles in the country.

Shoei Logo – Company created by Eitaro Kamata in 1958, it originates a company specializing in the manufacture of helmets for the construction industry since 1954. It mainly produces motorcycle helmets, first in the field of competition and in the general public.

Shoei’s reputation as a quality mark was first spread to the United States in the 1960s, when the brand Honda has provided credit support, then some time later in Europe.
