The company was founded in 1927 in Dallas, Texas, United States, for Ice Company and Joe C. Thompson, starting as a small shop. The company began using the name 7-Eleven in 1946. Before 1952 7-Eleven and would have opened its hundredth store. The company has grown a lot in the world. During the 80′s cycling team sponsored by 7-Eleven.
7-Eleven has done many promotions. One of the biggest promotions conducted by the supermarket chain involved the transformation of eleven stores in the U.S. and in Canada in Kwik-E-Mart (store where you usually buy the character animated Homer Simpson) to promote the film of The Simpsons.
